"THE LADY COLLECTION" WAS A SUCCESS

We thank Allāh for the successful Public Presentation of the "The Lady Collection" today in Lagos. I have always known Akorede Rawsheedah Saheed for goodness. The first time I met her physically was at the BOT meeting of An-Nusra Foundation held at Al-Muflihun school of Ustadh Rasheed Hashim in Ibadan. After then, I attended the naming of her first son, Ja'far at Ibadan where Dr. Sanusi Lafiagi and I took a memorable "ofada" rice. My family also visited her family in Ibadan close to two years ago based on a formal invitation. The days spent with them and the journey we had together from Ibadan to Lagos to attend KBC that year was memorable.
After putting the book Halāl Sex and Intimacy together in 2019, she was one of the few persons I shared it with based on her passion to help women struggling with intimacy in their marriage. I was afraid to publish the book in the first place due to its sensitive nature but she gave me the courage to do it. She made me realize the potential of the book. She didn't only support me on the Halāl Intimacy project, she stood by me by helping Mawaddah Consult to handle the women's group that was created to discuss marital problems, especially those relating to intimacy. I mentioned this in my book "Garment of Compassion" to be released soon in sha Allāh.
Aside from the above, she has been highly instrumental to the positive developments of our women in many ways, especially in the aspect of marriage. We had handled several marital conflict resolutions together. She is a Certified Marriage and Readiness Coach and a colleague at the level of the Chartered Institute of Mentoring and Coaching, Nigeria (CIMCN). To know the positive impact of what she does, there was a time I prescribed a journal prepared by her (The Love Bank) to a sister that was having issues with her husband, the review was fantastic.
Consequently, I was not surprised with the kind of support she received today from family, friends and associates. There is a great pleasure in having a supportive husband, parents and in-laws. Malam Saheed Opadokun is a good husband. This is the first time I will see a father chairing the event of his own daughter. I was equally happy with the way our brothers and sisters supported her. The speech of our father, Sheikh Abdulrahman Ahmad was highly inspiring. Alhaji Hamza Usman , Talba Ebira came all the way from Abuja to witness the event and contributed immensely to the success of the event. Seeing Sheikh Abdurrafi' Al-Imām at the event was highly fulfilling. Dr. Fuad-deen Olabisi Kekere-ekun also did what he is well-known for - supporting Muslim projects. The presence of Ustadh Kabir Al Asfar , especially during the panel session added substance to the event. It was exciting seeing the Inenemos again and other brothers who graced the event. May Allāh reward them all abundantly.
As noted by Imām Sanni Kay Yusuf , it is not easy to put a book together, let alone five (5) books at a time. Rawsheedah Akorede is not perfect. She has her flaws just like any of us. But by Allāh, she is a valuable gift to this Ummah. May Allāh reward her for the wonderful efforts. May He, the Almighty accept it from her as an act of 'ibādah.
