CONSEQUENCE OF OPPOSING THE SUNNAH

Ibn Abdillah As-sudaisiy Al-Iloori
Anyone who attacks any of the noble companions رضي الله عنهم has attacked the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.
These people are not taking their full fledged shiism status lightly. It is now very important to not only train our children in a sunnatic way but to also pray seriously that they do not derail from this righteous path. May Allah not give us children that will destroy our da'wah legacies and religious heritage.
Even the moderate Sufis have so much respect for the companions رضي الله عنهم because of their impacts in the preservation of Islam. We will never allow Shiism to spread in our society. We are ready to stand against anyone who lays his mouth on the personalities of the Sohaabah. We will not take it lightly. Such a person and anyone who backs him will be dragged even more than a generator within the confines of the law. May Allāh keep us firm upon the path of the Sunnah.
The sad thing is that even if he decides to turn back from his filthy Shi'a ideologies today, some of those he has misled with his speeches would never return from the evil path. The damage has already been done. But our prayer is for Allāh to guide him and his followers.
This is why one of the greatest trials the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم feared most for his Ummah is the "Al-aimatul Mudhilleen" (Misguided Scholars).
The misguided scholars are impostors. They dress like Muslims, speak Arabic, recite the Qur'ān and Hadiths. Then they use their faulty and confused interpretations poor intellects to mislead their blind followers and the ignorant people who rely on them from the true path of Islām (Sunnah).
Forget about the population of his blind followers, the genesis of his misguidance and this humiliation is opposing the Sunnah. Anyone who opposes the Sunnah will be misguided if he does not repent sincerely. Allāh says:
So let those beware who dissent from the Prophet's order, lest fitnah strike them or a painful punishment.(QS. An-Noor: Verse 63)
We said it when it started from condemnation of hijāb (khimār, jilbāb or niqāb). No one will think a Muslim will do this, let alone the head of a reputable Islamic institution. His attention was called to it and he became so arrogant fighting anyone who corrects him. He moved to other areas such as denying the return of Prophet 'Eesa عليه السلام, denial of rajm (stoning), denial of An-naskh (abrogation), condemnation of Hadith, and defamation of Imām Al-Bukhari. Later, he started insulting the noble companions picking them one by one, such as Abu Hurayrah and Abu Mūsa Al-ash'ari رضي الله عنهم. He now moved further to hit the main transformers of Sunnah (Islām) with his attacks on Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman رضي الله عنهم, Anyone who dishonours any of the companions deserves no honour, let alone the bigwigs among them.
So, it is the promise of Allāh that anyone who opposes the Sunnah will be misled and become miserable. While we still hope for his sincere repentance, his case is a clear manifestation of the verse earlier cited above. It is a great lesson for other people who are like him to desist from opposing the Sunnah whether out of ignorance or out of hatred for people of Sunnah. Those who opposed the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم when he was alive and after his death till the Day of Judgement are the same.
So, beware!
